Today I’m thinking….Resolution

Hey Fam!

Today I am thinking resolution. Not in the sense that we all know as in  – “New Year” resolution where we decide that we are going to do something and we resolve that we will do whatever we can to make it happen then mostly we do nothing to make it happen and thus it becomes the next years resolution! I am thinking along the lines of resolution in a sense that you have the mental state or quality of being resolved or resolute; you have a firmness of purpose!

Do you know what your purpose is? Have you resolved in your mind what it is and that purpose if firm? Fulfilling your God given purpose is the key to living a fulfilling life in Christ. No one wants to live with the “fish out of water” syndrome. You can’t be all that you are created to be when you are out of place.  No matter how much someone else tells you, heck, even if you try to convince yourself, if you are out of place and not fulfilling your purpose in Christ you will never get to where you need to be in Him and you will never be happy; you will be a “Fish out of Water” and you will eventually die. Your prolonged dissatisfaction, God-given gifts, passions and the voices of others could be telling you that you were created for another purpose. Listen to your dissatisfaction, listen to your passion and listen to those that have watch over you, it could be just what you need to push you into a more satisfying life in Christ!

I’m listening to dissatisfaction and listening to my passion! It’s what God gave me to direct me to His purpose for my life…so, I won’t be making any decisions until I am breathing in life and swimming effortlessly in my purpose like that fish in his perfect ocean! I trust  God to lead me and guide me into all things that pertain to MY life & Godliness! Do you?

Be Blessed guys! Love ya!

Today, I’m thinking……Confidence

Hey Fam!

While listening to Tasha Cobbs’ “Confidence” I began to think on what it means to have confidence in someone or something. A person who lives without confidence will always fall short of their potential. They will always find themselves living beneath their privilege. When we do not believe that something is possible for us, we will not take the required steps to reach that goal. I wish to be mighty in God as a Psalmist so that people will be saved, healed, delivered and set free just listening to my ministry, but if I don’t believe it is possible, I will never take that vocal lesson or work my craft sufficiently to get to a place in God where I am saved, healed, delivered and set free…therefore it will never come out of me! A person may desire to succeed in business, but if they don’t believe they can, they will never take the steps required for success. They will be slothful, half-hearted and unmotivated. This will affect the way they do their work, their attitude, and will work to create the mediocrity that they are expecting. Seems the only time we rise above our actual level of confidence is when someone else encourages us, even prods and pushes us, ultimately showing us the way past our fears into success. Not everyone has this person in their lives. You are truly blessed if you do!

You may wish to live a holy life, but if you don’t believe it’s possible, if you have no confidence, you won’t seriously aim for the target. Your condition is limited by the belief that what God says is impossible when you think that way. God wants us to have faith in Him! Confidence is an important element of faith. When we have strong faith in God, we have a confidence to move out because we have come to know God, to know what He wants, and to know that He is with us to help us and work with us, especially when we have been obedient to His commands.

The world teaches those aspiring to success the value of self-confidence. It says, Believe in yourself and you can achieve anything! There is some truth to this, but it is not gospel truth, and sometimes it fails; therefore crushing your faith and causing you to back away from that challenge ever again!

The Bible however, does not tell us to believe in ourselves. It teaches us to believe in Christ, to have faith in God. Though man can and does achieve things in this world aided by self-confidence and a positive self-image, Jesus said to his disciples, “Apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). In one sense this is absolutely true, since Christ is the Sustainer of the Universe, and upholds all things by His Word. But I believe the main thing He is saying is that apart from an intimate relationship with Him, where you draw on His life, you can do nothing that will last or have true value. What good is it for you if, have an ultimately positive SELF-image and SELF-confidence, you achieve a measure of worldly achievement but miss the destiny that Christ has for you? In the light of eternity, it won’t matter how rich or famous you were on earth. What will matter is how obedient you were to Christ’s calling for your life!

When it comes to the things of God, in following Jesus, self confidence will ultimately fail us. Peter was so sure of his loyalty to Jesus, of his courage, that he said on the night Jesus was betrayed, “Even if all are made to stumble, yet I will not be!” and “If I have to die with You, I will not deny you!” (Mark 14:29, 31). Peter was confident in himself, but when push came to shove, and Jesus was on trial, Peter denied three WHOLE times that he even knew Jesus at all. Peter then went out and wept bitterly, utterly ashamed of his failure. Self confidence will fail us where it counts most – in the integrity of our walk with God. God will allow things to come up which will shatter our self confidence, with the hope that we will learn to have confidence in GOD and not in ourselves. Prayerfully when these things come, you will see them as they are – NOT FAILURES, but opportunities to pick yourself up and put your confidence in the ONE TRUE VINE!  In the words of Tasha Cobbs – “I’ve got confidence, sooooo much confidence….IN YOU!” Thanks Tasha, you put something on my mind today!

Today I’m thinking………Release

Hello Fam!

Today, I am thinking release; I want to share this excerpt with you…..

“Release”

 I’ve cried so many tears.
I
’ve had to face so many fears.
At times I felt so lost in despair…..I just needed to know you really cared

Once feeling so close to you.
Now feeling I don’t know what to do.
I can’t see past the rain and storms…..Lord, I need you to hold me in your loving arms.

Fighting through the jungle in the dark of night.
looking to heaven for a guiding light.
So many questions, I’m in complete desperation…..I need to know how to work through this with patience

Wanting to leave, wanting to flee.
Not seeing the answer is right in front of me.
I don’t want to beg, but I feel myself plead….I couldn’t see so clearly, until I hit my knees!

Wandering - Moving from place to place without a purpose and/or without a known destination.

Looking back… With tears in my eyes and running down my face. I tried to find one moment in time where I felt that I was truly happy. I couldn’t find any. I just want to be happy!  I’d had “happy times”, but I had never truly experienced happiness that lingered long enough to merit its meaning. I couldn’t enjoy those times because all I could think about was what would go wrong and how long the happiness would last before my enemy; satan, would come and drag it from me. Blind.

I seemed to be on this roller coaster of up and downs; mostly downs! I met a new friend on this ride. Its name was Depression.

Depression – A psychiatric disorder showing symptoms such as persistent feelings of hopelessness, dejection, poor concentration, lack of energy, inability to sleep and sometimes suicidal tendencies.

The enemies plan for us is sometimes just as intricate as God’s plan for us. The only difference is, the enemy doesn’t realize that God’s plan is superior to his! Diversion. My weapon of choice! Get it together, stop crying, stop being weak! Shape up or ship out! Never let them know you are hurting. I said these things so much that I began to believe that I was actually helping myself.

The enemy knew that my inadequate responses would only sink me further and further into despair, but God’s lesson are of a precise nature. See, I was a “show-me” person.  I didn’t want to hear about what you thought would happen or what you thought was the right way, I wanted you to tell me what you knew and be able to back it up! My erroneous thinking caused me to travel many roads that could have been avoided if I’d only had the faith to believe that God could carry me. If I’d only looked into the word of God, I would have seen that there is nothing that He expects you to do that He hasn’t given you the perfect example for—and the word of God more than backs it all up!

While in the grips of depression the enemy would tell me that I was doing all I could do to be saved and God didn’t even see me. I was praying all I could pray and God didn’t hear me! I was giving myself totally to Him and He was rejecting my efforts because He didn’t love me. I believed every word he whispered to me! His plan was to destroy me by destroying my trust and belief in God! Surrender.

God’s plan was to free me! I wasn’t doing all I knew to be saved. No, I am not praying as much as I should. No, I was not giving God as much of my life as He required. My “yes” was incomplete! This wasn’t my intention, the enemy had me blinded and the “inner me” accepted it. Wholeheartedly! In order to be healed and delivered, you must first admit (to admit to be real or true; recognize the existence, truth, or fact of) that there is a problem and seek out help! You must be able to see the error in your ways and be honest with yourself. God already knows your short comings, but He loves you through them. I knew that I needed help. I was raised strict Apostolic. My understanding of my teaching lead me to believe that admission was just as defeat. Saying that I still had some issues was “giving the devil glory”, so I hid them. I buried them as far as I could and I tried to hide behind “God being my strength” and “ask God for help and He will give it to you! “No need to search any further – it’s in the house”. These things are true! There is no err in the word of God! But the enemy can have your thoughts so twisted that your understanding is misleading. Blindsided.  (Proverbs 3:5)

The bible also states, in your getting: get understanding (Proverbs 4:7) So, I asked God for help, and clear understanding! Beyond that, I received Christian Counseling! God led me to a sanctified woman of God that was a certified counselor that helped me to work through my issues and realize the root of my anger, bitterness, restlessness and unhappiness. In order for God to take these things out of you, He must first show them to your face, and then uproot them! Don’t hide behind “clichés” and worry about what people may think of you. You have a destiny to fulfill and you must be whole to fulfill it. There are other souls out there that need YOU—but they need who GOD made you—not the person you’ve created. I certify that everything didn’t always go as planned, even after getting help! In fact, many more things went wrong, but I had found a friend that I could rely on!  I finally understood that tests and trials come to make me strong, and that the enemy is just trying to shake our faith to further his plan to destroy us! A songwriter once said, “What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grief to bear. What a privilege to carry, everything to God in prayer” (public domain). When I find myself in the midst of the “happiness” struggle, I hear this song.

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:” (2 Pet. 1:3)

When I first read this scripture, it didn’t mean to me what it means now.  I used to skip past the “life” part and go straight to the “godliness” part. I guess I didn’t think that God cared about my personal life and that the only thing I could seek Him for was spiritual. God wants us to have balance in Him. He understands that we are fleshly beings—he created us this way. The only time God is displeased with our fleshly desires is when they overtake and become more important to you than His will and what He wants for you. God want us to prosper in HIM! He wants us to be free and happy! This scripture has become a rock to me, it is a promise. This promise says to me, “Whatever you need that pertains to life and godliness – I will supply according to my divine power” With this said, why would I even look to anyone else for happiness—God created all emotions! He knows what He does, when He does, what He does for you! I am sure He knows what happiness means! Happy.

Today I’m thinkin…..GET UP!

Good Morning Fam!

It’s been a little while since I’ve blogged! I’ve been busy learning lines and rehearsing for the upcoming play! Don’t think things have been PEACHY! The enemy  and the INNER ME has still been in a WAR, I just haven’t had time to write about it! LOL

So, today I am thinking….GET UP! Get up from there Lady! Issues have been coming back to back and I was dealing pretty well…so I thought! The problem was, although I was still fasting, praying and seeking God for answers, I was feeling down on myself for even feeling this way. How could I say I trusted God and be “down” on my situation? How could I allow worry to creep in? I went to hear my mom speak yesterday (Pas. Wanda Shelton – if you don’t know her – GET TO KNOW HER! Honey, she will get you RIGHT! LOL look for her on YouTube, I am sure you will find some videos). The topic was Struggling to see the Eternal Purpose of God! To my surprise, it was NOT fluff (not that it normally is, but I expected the “Everything’s gonna be OK message, since that is what I wanted to hear) – BASICALLY, she let us know – YOU WILL STRUGGLE! It’s God’s design! You WILL suffer! How will you reign unless you do? You WILL have hard times, but God will be WITH you in those time to bring you to your VICTORY!!! It hurt so good! I have been in such a place of NEEDING A WORD FROM THE LORD! I thought what I needed was going to soothe me, but what I needed was a cutting away! Praise GOD!!! I got just what I needed!!!!

Almost every Saint of God in The Bible came to a low and weak place in life and even spiritual failure. There are a few exceptions like Joseph and Job. Others like Abraham, Isaac, David, Moses, Peter and Demas had starting over places in their lives. You may be one of those Christians that once served the Lord with gladness and lived a faithful life for the glory of God, and yet now you are at the bottom and cannot seem to get up again. Let me encourage you with the Word of God today! You may not have experienced any of this as of yet; let me warn you to “let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” (1 Cor.10:12)

If you’re like me, you feel you have failed so miserably that there is no hope of ever being right with God in your life. Like you have made so many mistakes and have had so many failures that to start over seems impossible! There is a way back to the joy of God’s salvation. It’s not always sin, but if it is, there is also HOPE! David’s sin was premeditated, calculated and merciless. He hit bottom and brought the judgment of God upon his family. The Judgment was fourfold. It cost him in four children. (He pronounced the judgment himself.) Don’t stay there NO MATTER WHAT!

  1. Repenting, vs.3-4. He did not need re-regeneration…there is no such thing! He did not need regeneration. He needed restoration, and that begins with repentance. “I acknowledge my transgressions…Against thee…have I sinned.”If you are too big to admit your sin, well, you are too big to receive help! Get your mind right and come at God like you have some sense! Stop subjecting folk to YOUR FOOLISHNESS!
  2. Recognizing a need for cleansing, “Purge me” and “wash me” v. 7; “Hide thy face from my sins” and “blot out all mine iniquities” v. 9; “Create in me a clean heart” v. 10. Until we see our sin as offensive to God we will tolerate it. (See Rom. 7:13)
  3. Reassurance that God was going to cleanse and forgive, v7. Notice, “I shall be clean” and “I shall be whiter than snow.” (See also Ps.103:12; Isa. 55:7; 1Jn. 1:9; Heb. 8:12)
  4. Restoration, Starting over again, vs. 13-16. David lost some things he never got back, but at least he had restoration. Notice: Verse 13, “I will teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.” Verse 14, “My tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.” Verse 15, “O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.” Then in vs.15-17, David confesses he will do anything God pleases and yet, he knows “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.”

If you’ve come to a place where you feel you’ve hit rock bottom AND YOU WANT TO START OVER…..YOU HAVE TO WANT IT…..get UP! You can start over from ANY POINT!!!

~Luv ya~

Today I’m thinking…………..Prayer!!!!

Good Morning Fam!

Today I am thinking PRAYER! It’s time to pray! I don’t know about you, but I have some things going in my life right now that need a RIGHT NOW blessing & MIRACLE!!! A ‘SHOLE NUFF ASSURED MIRACLE!!! Sometimes you just have to put it out there!!! So, today, I share in prayer with you!

Father, I come to you  in the Name of Jesus & I ask u 2 forgive me of anything I have done that has or could displease you! Cover me with the your Blood. Cause my thoughts to be your thoughts, my desires your, my will yours! Put a guard across my mouth that I can say no more or no less than you would say! Keep me on the path that you have laid out & reveal the enemy I pray that every negative thought put in my mind will bounce off the helmet of salvation and return to the sender!

Heal every memory that could hold me back from being all that You want me to be. I have on the breastplate of righteousness, my loins are girded with the truth and my feet are shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace! I take up the sword of the spirit and the shield of faith. In the Name of Jesus and through His living blood, I bind & sever every cord of any prince or principality & and every spirit of darkness! Satan, I cut off your communications, confuse your camp, render you inactive, and cast you out, in Jesus’ Name. I bind and cast out every spirit of poverty, lack, confusion, cloudiness, mind binding, selfishness, anxiety, and procrastination. I bind and cast out every spirit of fear, heaviness, jealousy, bondage, whoredom, lying, perversion, slumber and infirmity. I plead the blood of Jesus over property line & below the foundation of my home, I bind u, satan & your entire kingdom from crossing it! I loose myself  & everyone that is connected to me to the power of the Holy Spirit! I speak forth blessings of prosperity, clarity, wisdom , understanding, knowledge, discernment, abundance, and good health. I also speak creativity and a sound mind. I take control of my mind & reject every evil thought & receive every good thought, in Jesus’ Name. I loose myself and all connected to me to the ministry of the Holy Spirit & speak love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance into our lives. Father, I ask that you send your warring angels & cause to come in r families all the monies, treasures, properties, assets & things satan has stolen from us that have been ours through the blessings of Jesus Christ. In the Name of Jesus Christ and through His living blood, I bind you satan, & your entire kingdom so that you cannot and will not be active!

Lord, don’t let me be just a warrior in Your Kingdom, but let me be a mighty warrior and frontline soldier, so that when I see You face to face You will say, “Well done, good and faithful servant; come on in.” Amen.

#MyPrayerForYOU Today is that God sees to your petitions and desires according to HIS will for you! In Jesus Name!

I love you!

Today I’m thinking….The Best Wine

Hey fam!

The fire has gotten hotter! Much hotter than it was before and you have reached your boiling point. You’re sad, distressed, doubting and getting to the point where you just can’t see how or even why God would bring you out of your situation. All you can see is the rain with no sun in sight. The road ahead seems dim and you’re afraid to travel any further!

You are not alone! The body of Christ in general has come to a place where things are no longer coming easy. We’ve petitioned the Lord to “show us your face”, “Manifest your glory in us”, “Use us”, “Manifest your Promises Lord”, We ask for the Rain! We ask for your power! We ask for your presence! Well, in order for any and all of those petitions to be heard God is calling for us to give him our best!

When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,  1And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. John 2:9-10

Winemaking is not a hobby for those that are impatient! It takes months sometimes years for the process to complete. You have to have the right equipment; decide what flavor you’re going for and for what purpose the wine will be given. When making the best wine, it is essential that you begin with a clean and sanitary environment! God has to clean us up so that there are no toxins given to his people when he sends you out! The aging process has to occur. The aroma and the flavor has to be extracted by crushing, chopping, soaking, pressing and or boiling. Impurities have to come out and additives have to go in. After all of that the wine has to be transferred to a different container for the fermentation process. In this process, all that has taken place has a chance to mold together and begin to take on the consistency, aroma and presence of the best wine!

There are many times when God has to show us the error of our ways. Where we have forgotten to acknowledge Him (more than religiously praying and fasting as we are taught that we should). Where we didn’t consult Him and sometimes just where we are because He placed us there for His glory! We have to stop beating ourselves up and realize that there are some things that we have to endure just because it’s His will and He wants the Glory out of the situation! It’s nothing that you’ve done wrong, but it’s so that He can get the BEST WINE from our lives! Just at the right time we are crushed, chopped, soaked, pressed and or boiled until the essence of what we were created to be exudes from every crevice of our being! God is doing this to bring all that you’ve asked for to fruition! So that you can be served to the elite! There is greatness in each of you and God is just waiting for the process to complete! Don’t worry, it’s not too late! You are not too old! You haven’t missed the mark! Just hold on until it’s time for you to come to the forefront! When you step on the scene you will realize, it’s MY time and the BEST WINE has been kept for such a time as this! Be encouraged!

~Much Love~

Today I’m thinking……..MOVING FORWARD!

Hey fam! I just felt like sharing a little today…

Today was a great day! I had a chance to spend time in the presence of the Lord with my former church family; took part in an awesome worship experience and just let loose in the Lord! Of course you kno the enemy had to reer his ugly monstrous head and try to plant seeds within me!

I’ve been delivered from a plethora of things, but the enemy, every now and again comes and reminds me of my past. Reminds me that I should be further than where I am…you kno…the ‘that could be you’ syndrome! Just as the enemy tried to plant his seed, God reminded me that HE TOUCHED ME! He anointed me! He called me and I dnt hve to worry with what I feel I should be, but with what He has called me to be!

God be praised for the things that He has done! From the pit of depression; the shame of molestation and rape, the trenches of grief, neglect, rejection and confusion a worshipping warrior was born; THAT’S ME! My purpose is to uplift; encourage and help lead those that have been in my shoes or may find themselves in seemingly impossible situations to allow their hearts to speak! Let your heart speak…God will do the rest! I decree it, declare it and I agree! Freedom is DEALING! Uncovering the past and dealing with the pain, hurt, issues and everything else that comes with it! We can never experience true freedom until we learn not to live around our issues, but to live through our issues!

For too long I was a victim. Yes, I was molested, raped neglected and rejected, but that’s not my name! My name is FREEDOM! These things left me, at one point, feeling maimed as if there was no reason to live; so I didn’t. I retreated into a world of  “non-existence”. I didn’t want anyone to see me! I praise God for where He has brought me from! My freedom was not an overnight process! I am because HE IS!

Getting over a wall leaves that wall right where it stands! Just as soon as your guard is down; feeling a little low, that wall gets closer and closer it’s in your face again! Going through that wall tears it down; it makes a considerable hole in the wall; it takes away the foundation, making the wall so weak that it will soon have to fall leaving no ties to this issue! Freedom – The absence of or release from all ties that bind!

There are some things that I choose to forget and there are some things I choose to keep in the forefront of my mind! I choose to remember my past because it makes it that much easier for me to see where God has brought me from! Yes, the enemy once had me locked up within my own mind, but GOD!!!

When you’ve been anointed for something there are going to be tests and trials that you will have to endure! Its not for you, its for those that will come after you and those that are suffering and need to know that they too can be delivered and set free from the very thing that you thought would destroy you! Your suffering is not in vain….its to bring you to your expected end! Time to stop looking back….time to MOVE FORWARD into your destiny! You are right where He wants you to be!!! God is great and greatly to be praised!!!!!

Today I’m thinking……Restoration

Hey Fam! Today I am thinking Restoration!

Have you ever found yourself in a place where you KNEW there were things that needed to be changed in your life and you are ready for the change? Your dreams are stagnant. Your promises aren’t coming to fruition? You feel the stripping, but don’t see the manifestation of things to come? You have this anxious feeling that things are and desperately need to change, but you can’t see how? The process that you are in is called RESTORATION!

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. Joel 2:25

Have you ever been to an antique furniture store and seen the beautiful finished product of OLD furniture that has been restored to its natural beauty? If you haven’t let’s take a trip…..This process takes TIME and much WORK! It can take HOURS of removing old and unusable canvas. It can take days of removing old varnish. Replacing torn and tattered pieces. Rebuilding broken, scraped and bruised overlays. If there is anything inside of the piece it would have to be gutted and the debris thrown out.

We have many years of learned behaviors that God cannot use! Traditions that need to be scraped off of us! We have suffered many things that we internalized; thought we moved on from only for them to resurface, keeping us from our destiny. God has to rebuild these broken and tattered places in our lives! The process can be long and grueling and there are times where you will feel ugly and broken down – unusable! Just know that God – the master craftsman has you in his studio. He is tearing out the old to put in the new! He is breaking down the unusable surfaces in your life and replacing them with the newness of life! The scraping and the sanding is being carefully done so as not to damage His mold and the end product will be a TOTALLY RESTORED YOU! A masterpiece that our maker will be so proud of that He will SHOWCASE His handiwork before all!

Don’t worry about getting BACK the things that the enemy has taken from you – think RESTORATION! You will be restored back to your NATURAL BEAUTY! What you once were before the enemy came and began stealing your joy, peace and promise! What you will gain will be BETTER that what you lost! YOUR LATTER WILL BE GREATER THAN YOUR PAST! God is a GOD of RESTORATION! Be Ye RESTORED!

~Love you all~
